GST changes from 1 November 2026, but not everything you hear on WhatsApp is law yet. This explainer separates what is legally in force (CBIC Notifications 03/2026 and 05/2026–Central Tax, both dated 26 October 2026) from what is only proposed or approved in principle, and turns it into simple checklists for small traders, online sellers, exporters and CAs.
What you get

FAQ
Is this the official notification?
No. It is a plain-English explainer that names the official sources (Notification 03/2026–CT and 05/2026–CT dated 26 Oct 2026, and GST Council FAQs) so you can check the text yourself.
Is the annual GST return for small businesses law now?
No. The GST Council approved the ARQP idea only in principle on 8 Oct 2026. There are no rules or start date yet; the explainer marks it clearly.
Will it be updated?
Yes. Buyers get free updates if CBIC issues circulars or forms on these changes. Buyers of our CA Client-Chase Kit get this as a free update.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive, open it with Google Sheets and choose File > Save as Google Sheets. It then works on your phone in the Google Sheets app.
Is it a physical product?
No. It is an instant digital download. Print on A4 at home or at a print shop, or write on it in any PDF app.
